Died at North Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania, at the age of 73 years, 2 months, and 27 days.

Buried at Zion (Shaffer's) Union Cemetery on Saturday October 24, 1942. The funeral director was Malvin A. Sauter of Spring Grove.

Married on November 6, 1888 at Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania, to Ervin Grant Shearer.

JENNIE AGNES SHEARER, died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Erastus Runk, Spring Grove R.D. 1, Pa., Oct. 20th after an illness of a year, several weeks of which she was bedfast.
Her age was 73 years, 2 months, and 27 days.
Mrs. Shearer was a most faithful, life-long member of Zion Church, and in the community was held in highest respect.
Left to mourn her going are six children; George, Emory, Paul, and Wilmer Shearer, Mrs. Clayton Messersmith, and Mrs. Erastus Runk; twenty-five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Howard Gladfelter, Mrs. Luther Gladfelter, and Mrs. Dallas Senft, and five brothers, Sylvester, Bert, Hamilton, Emory, and John Kessler.
A short service was held at the house Oct. 24th at 10 a.m. followed by a public service in Zion Church, which was filled with friends. Her body was laid to rest in the nearby cemetery.
