This morning at 6 o'clock death claimed Mrs. Bridget Blewitt, a well known and highly esteemed woman, at the family home on 107 Pine street, following an illness for the past few months. Deceased was one of the oldest and most respected residents of Pine street and had resided in that vicinity for fifty years. She had a lovable disposition and had a host of friends. She was a native of Ireland, and came to this country when a girl. Her husband Thomas Blewitt died several years ago. She was a faithful member of St. John's Church and in her younger years she took active part in the church affairs.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. M. J. Tigue [Tighe], of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Patrick J. Blewitt, of Swallow street, this city; Mrs. B. A. Scott, Miss Elisabeth Blewitt, a teacher In the city schools, and Thomas Blewitt, of New York City, also one sister, Mrs. Margaret Armstrong, of Pine street, this city. Funeral announcement later.
