Mary Ann Bingham was born February 22, 1837, near Marshall, Tennessee and when four years old, moved with her parents( Samuel and Anna(Hoover) Bingham)to Sullivan County, Missouri.
She was married to Joseph A.S. Hamilton on February 19, 1852 at the age of 15 years. To this union 15 children were born, eight boys and seven girls, of whom six survive her. A.D.; H.W.; and S.N.Hamilton and Mary Alexander of Putnam County, James Hamilton and Elizabeth (Hamilton) Cave of western Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A.S. Hamilton in 1902 and a daughter, Sarah Jane Hamilton Chappell in 1898.
Mrs. Hamilton whose death was mentioned last week, breathed her last October 14, 1906. She has been a member of the Christian Church since early life and was a consistent member until her death. the funeral was held at West Liberty Christian Church October 15. Rev. E.J. McKinley delivered the sermon.
