MARY EDITH RUSSELL - Several months' illness of complications proved fatal to Mrs. Mary Edith Russell, 34, wife of Charles Russell, at her home at St. Mary's Monday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock. She spent some time under treatment at the Mary Immaculate Infirmary about a month ago and later returned home. Born August 4, 1911, in the county, a daughter of Joseph T. and Flora Smith White, she had lived in the St. Mary's section practically all of her life. She is survived by her husband and three of the six children born to the union: Mary Laverne, 14, Dorothy Mae, 12, and Shirley Ann, 10. Three others died in infancy. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. White of St. Mary, also survive, with three sisters, Mrs. L.C. Kirkpatrick and Miss Eva White of Louisville and Mrs. Charles T. Mudd of the county, and three brothers, Ray White of St. Mary, Lieut. Adrian White, U.S. Army Air Corps, Dallas, Texas, and Marine Pfc. Charles White, Pensacola, Fla. Requiem Mass was intoned at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Charles Church by the Rev. Fred W. Dudine, and burial was in the church cemetery. The three brothers and three brothers-in-law served as pallbearers.
