Sophia "Sophie" Bessie (Kulikowski) Cobb, age 87, of Success, AR., passed away late Tuesday evening March 12, 2024 at Saint Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro, AR., following a short illness.
Mrs. Cobb was born in Albion, Michigan on October 13, 1936, the daughter of Lithuanian immigrants Mike and Theodora (Barvydas) Kulikowski (Nikodemas and Teodora Kulikauskas). She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her cats. Sophie worked as a cook for many years at the old Corning Nursing Home, from where she retired. She attended Success Apostolic Church.
Sophie married Kenneth H. Cobb in 1956 in Angola, Indiana. He passed away March 4, 1990.
She is survived by her sons Jimmy Cobb, James Cobb, and Danny Cobb all of Success; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; and sister Pauline (Kulikowski) Passic of Albion, Michigan.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her sons Gary and K. Michael Cobb; parents; siblings Julius Kulikowski, Stella Kulikowski, Theodora Kulikowski Schascheck, Joseph Kulikowski, Victor Kulikowski, Mike Kulikowski, George Kulikowski, Ernest Kulikowski, Stanley Kulikowski, John Kulikowski, Casper Kulikowski, and Lawrence Kulikowski; and step-daughter Barb Addison.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with Reverend Richard Mahan officiating. Burial will follow the services at Hitt Cemetery in Success.
