She was born as Stanislava Kulikauskis the daughter of Nikodemas and Teodora (Barvydas) Kulikauskas, Lithuanian immigrants, and baptized at the St. Anthony Church in Cicero, IL. She moved with her parents to Albion, Michigan in 1918. She developed heart problems and died in Albion at the age of 8. The cremains of her brother Victor (1920-2001) were subsequently interred in her same lot, and Victor's small bronze plaque is affixed to the back of Stella's tombstone.
