Harlan Lee J, 59, R. 1, Wawaka, died Tuesday in his home. He was born May 19, 1916 in Noble County to Roy and Ethel (Herron) Harlan. He married Francis Delores Haviland April 8, 1958 in Brimfield. He was a foreman at Electric Cord Sets, Wolcottville, and formerly employed by Essex Wire. He was a WW II veteran and a member of the Ligonier American Legion Post. Surviving are his wife; his mother at Ligonier; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Carol) Becker Jr., Fort Wayne, Mrs. Ted (Terry) Pippenger Jr., R. 1, Churubusco, and Lanna J. at home; three sons, Ronnie W., R. 1, Wawaka, Michael E. and William Lee, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Violet Anders, Pierceton, Mrs. Frieda Hudson, Elkhart, Mildred Addis, Wawaka, and Opal Newman, Niles, Mich.; three brothers, Bernard, Goshen, Carl, LaGrange, and Laurel, Ligonier; seven grandchildren.
