Funeral services were held Saturday, November 3, at 1 p.m., at the Sardis Springs Methodist Church near Athens for Mrs. Jewell Mason Bottoms, 56, who died at her late home at Paint Rock Wednesday at 12:15 p.m.
Interment was in the Bottoms Family Cemetery, Spry diecting. The Rev. S. Keel of New Hope was in charge of the services.
Mrs. Bottoms is survived by her husband, Rev. A. T. Bottoms; five daughters, Mrs. Edna Sutton, Athens, Mrs. Kay Bee, Fairmount, Mrs. Katherine Duitsman, Forreston, Ill., Mrs. Estelle Fernandez, Mrs. Allmira Tye, Central College, Edmond, Okla.; two sons, Ary Thomas Bottoms Jr., Boulder, Colo., and James David Bottoms, Camp Roberts, Ark.; four sisters, Mrs. E. A. Lowery, Leeds, Miss Ann Mason, Wilmington, N.C., Miss Ora Mason, Leeds, and Mrs. R. N. Truluck, Wilmington, N.C.; two brothers, J. M. Mason, Brownsville, Oreg., and H. H. Mason, Fairfield.
