My great-uncle John Cummings Brown was born in Indiana County, Pa. to John Alexander(1842-1922) and Malinda Ann Dilts(1847-1916). He was one of ten children: Charles C., James, Sarah Estella, Maude E., Francis McKee, Mary, William S., Alexander and Lloyd Dilts.
Cummings is laid to rest alongside his parents John A. and Malinda Ann in Greenwood Cemetery in White Township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.

While visiting his brother in Chicago last week J. Cummings Brown, of Creekside, died suddenly Friday. The remains were brought to this place on Monday and taken to Creekside, where funeral services were held yesterday afternoon and interment was made in Greenwood Cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Brown, six brothers and two sisters.
