My great uncle William S. Brown was born Oct. 9, 1880 in Creekside, Inaiana County, Pennsylvania to parents John ALexander Brown(1842-1922) and Malinda Ann Dilts(1847-1916). William was one of 10 children: Charles C., James, Sarah Estella, Maude E., Francis McKee, Mary, John Cummings, Alexander, Lloyd Dilts.

William was married on 8 July 1909 to Edna V. Gilmore a native of Iowa, they had 2 daughters; Dorothy (Dotterweich), Lenore (Tackus) and 1 son; John William.

William S. Brown, 86, 3707 E. Jackson St. died Sunday morning at Ball Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Creekside, Penn and prior to coming here last year had lived in Cleveland, Ohio for many years. He was employed at Davey Steel Co. in Cleveland before his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Edna; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Dotterweich, Muncie, Mrs. Lenore Tackus, San Francisco, Calif. a son, John Willima Brown; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Meeks Mortuary at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Internment will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and prior to services Tuesday.

William is laid to rest with his wife Edna in Elm Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park Cemetery, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana 47304,
