Oliver J. "Bud" LaFave was born in Tupper Lake on January 10, 1912, the son of Basil and Clementine Scanlon LaFave and attended the Tupper Lake schools and was employed by Oval Wood Dish Co. here. During the past 33 years he had resided at Harrisville where he worked for St. Regis Paper Co., the Hoover Lumber Co., and the Town of Diana Highway Department before retiring in 1974. He was a member of Adirondack Grange 530 and of St. Francis Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Bernice Dibble, to whom he was married at Piercefield on Feb. 28, 1932; five sons, five daughters, a brother, and three sisters; also 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
