Bobbie, as she preferred to be called, was the eighth of nine children of Elmer Hammerstone LaFevre, a paper mill worker from Milford, Hunterdon Co., and Cora Belle Edinger LaFevre.

She graduated from Frenchtown High School in Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co.

Bobbie wed Donald A. Hampton and they had two children.

She was the cafeteria manager at Milford Public School in Milford for many years. I believe that she also worked at the A&P supermarket in Frenchtown.

Bobbie lived in Milford for most of her life. She died in the Rolling Hills Care Center.
