Herbert A Burdick, age fifteen years, youngest son of Timothy and Harriet Burdick, died yesterday afternoon at half past three o'clock. He had been suffering for some time with rheumatic fever and was also consumptive. Funeral services conducted by Rev. M. M. Bates were held at the home this afternoon at two o'clock and tomorrow morning Mr Burdick and his son Andrew will take the remains to Grand Detour (Illinois), where they will be interred. No school was held in Warren Durstine's room and the pupils attended the funeral in a body. The bereaved family has the sympathies of all their friends.

Mrs Geo W Barr and Miss Edna Burdick of Clinton (Iowa) came up on the 10:28 to attend the funeral of their brother, Herbert, today. A married sister Mrs Mattie Burns, from Davenport (Iowa) is also here.
