Marguerite Davis Parker, 87, of Youngstown, Arizona died Monday, February 9, 1981 in Boswell Memorial Hospital in Sun City, Arizona. She was born in Rock Glen, NY on April 2, 1894, the daughter of George M. and Elizabeth Shea Davis. She lived most of her life in Rock Glen.
Marguerite Parker was a partner for many years in the former Edward W. Davis & Company Store in Rock Glen. One of the largest general stores in the area. (forerunner of shopping malls)
She was a former member of the Rock Glen Baptist Church, one her family help found and served as the first pianist at the church. While in Wyoming county also was a member of Centennial Chapter of the Easter Star of Warsaw and the Rock Glen Home Bureau. In Arizona she was active in the Presbyterian Church and a member of the Garden and Card Club in Youngstown.
Her husband, James F. Parker, died in 1969 with a burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville. Her gravestone is along side his in the cemetery.
