Message from Steve Shuman, Etta Rachel's grandson on July 23, 2011, "Another Great Granddaughter who is named after Grandma, Jesse Love Shuman."

Thanks Steve. Your grandmother would be proud.
-----

Etta Rachel was my dad's first cousin. She was friends with both of my parents when they were growing up in the Ardmore area. I recall hearing many pleasant stories about that time so many years ago. I became acquainted with Etta Rachel in the 1990's while I was researching my Love family, which resulted in many telephone conversations. Then I was blessed to have visited with her on a trip to Ardmore. She invited me for lunch, and I will never forget how her perfectly hand-shaped dinner rolls were so good they almost melted in my mouth. During this time I met her beloved grandson, Steve Shuman. We kept in touch until her death. I will never forget this kind and wonderful woman.
