John's parents were:
Mose Love (1881 - 1959)
Mary Barthenia White Love (1890 - 1966)

He was the second of their six children. His siblings were Ella Mae, Etta Rachel, Tom "Tommy," and twins, Joyce "Hoss" & Doris.

ON FEBRUARY 11, 1920,
William J., age 5 months, lived in Wilson, Carter Co, OK with his parents, Mose & Barthenia, ages 39 & 29, and sister, Ella M., age l8. His father supported the family by doing general farm work.

ON APRIL 22/23, 1930,
John, age 12, lived with his parents, Mose & Barthenia, ages 49 & 39, at their home in Wilson where his father farmed. His siblings were Ella M., age 18; Etta R., 9; & twins, Joyce & Doris, age 4 years & 9 months.

ON APRIL 13, 1940,
John, age 20, was still living in Wilson where his parents, Mose & Barthenia, ages 58 & 49, owned a farm on Ardmore Road. His siblings who were living at home were twins, Joyce & Doris, ages 14.

John married Martha "Marty" Lou Napier in Provence, Carter Co, OK on July 23, 1941.

They would later move to CA. John was my dad's cousin. I still remember my dad talking about the time, August 1980, when he came to our home in Modesto for a visit.

Graveside services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery in Rio Oso, for John William Love, 70, of Rio Oso, who died Dec. 17, 1989, at Fremont Hospital.

A native of Ardmore, Okla., he had lived in the Yuba-Sutter area since 1953. He was a retired trucker.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Love of Rio Oso; a brother, Joyce Love of Ardmore; and three sisters, Ella M. Hawley and Etta Gilliam, both of Ardmore, and Doris Vieroski of Hurst, Texas.

The Rev. T. Hoffman Hurley will officiate at the services. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ullrey Memorial Chapel.

Memorials to the Del Oro Regional Resource Center, 3625 Mission Ave., Suite 300, Carmichael, Ca. 95608, are suggested by the family."
