Louis Koeser, 82, of Route 1, Elkhart Lake, died April 11, at Calumet Memorial Hospital in Chilton, where he had been a patient for two weeks.
Mr. Koeser was born September 4, 1897, in the Town of Newton, son of Louis and Caroline Duebner Koeser. He attended district schools. On May 19, 1928, he and Katherine Meyer of Sheboygan Falls were married in Sheboygan. Mrs. Koeser died in 1968. The couple lived in the Town of Newton before moving to a farm in the Town of Rhine. Mr. Koeser operated the farm there for 44 years, before his retirement in 1975.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Leroy Schweitzer, Route 2 Elkhart Lake; Mrs. Eugene A. Christel, Mrs. Victor Frauenfeld, Mrs. Elwood Voland, and Mrs. Roger Zorn all of Kiel, and Mrs. Marvin Hassler, Sheboygan Falls; two sons, Elroy and Louis, both of Route 2, Elkhart Lake; a brother John, Route 2, Kiel; 38 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Koeser were held Tuesday at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Kiel. The Rev. Hilbert Klein, pastor of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, town of Schleswig, officiated. Burial was in the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Kiel
