Charles L. Koeser, 70, a retired Town of Meeme (Manitowoc County) farmer and mason, died Friday afternoon at Manitowoc Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient there two weeks. A native of the Town of Herman, he was born May 5, 1888, a son of the late Louis and Caroline Duebner Koeser. On Aug. 31, 1912, he married Emma Rosso at Newton. Following marriage the couple operated the Meeme farm until Mr. Koeser's retirement in 1950.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Marvin, Manitowoc, and Norman, on the home farm. R. 1, Newton; a daughter, Mrs. Arnold Schuette, R. 3, Manitowoc and seven grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Louis and Emil, rural Elkhart Lake, and John, Kiel, and a sister, Mrs. Jack Schaar, New Holstein. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at Salem Evangelical Church, Newton with the Rev. K. J. Stuebbe, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
