During her lifetime, Stella bore 10 children. The first were born in Savannah, Missouri - Clarence Edwin 1896, Stella Mabel 1898, Infant 1900, Infant Stillborn, Esther Myrtel 1902, Mary Hazel 1905, and Carl Everett 1908.

In July of 1909, George and Stella with their five children moved to Missoula, Montana, arriving there July 28th. In 1916, they, with 4 children, moved to Bonner County, Idaho, near Newport, Washington where they settled on a 40 acre homestead. Two more children were born here, Charles Allen 1916, Blanche Marie 1919. A special thank you to Blanche Marie Blackler Bradshaw, who in 1988-9 compiled from material gathered from David Luther Edelman, Hazel Blackler, Mabel Blackler Stowe, and papers found in her mother, Susan Stella Edelman's trunk, a priceless record of our family. Blanche worked hard to put together the pieces, even visiting my home to gather any tidbits my mother might have to share.
