Roger Lee Koehler, 41, of Fleming died Friday, May 17, 1996 in Denver.
Visitation will be from 10 a.rn. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Tennant Fu neral Home, with vigil and rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Neal Pfister officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Koehier was born Aug. 6, 1954, to Leonard and Nettie (Schlenz) Koehler in Sterling. He grew up on a farm in the Fleming area and attended school at Flem ing, graduating in 1972.
He moved to Denver for a short period and then returned to Sterling, where he worked for Foxhoven's and John Hensel. He then worked for Industrial Welding for almost 20 years. He also worked at the family farm.
He married Paula Lewis on Aug. 8, 1987, at St. Peter's Church near Fleming. They moved from Fleming to Sterling in 1989.
Mr. Koehler was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, where he was on the church council for the last four years. He was a volun teer fireman in Fleming. He loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating. His hobby was designing his own trailers and welding them.
He is survived by his wife, Paula; his mother, Nettie Koehler of Fleming; two daughters, Kelley and Kristy, both of Fleming; three brothers, Bob and wife Nancy of Yuma, Danny and wife Carla of Broomfield, and Howard of Tus con, Ariz.; three sisters, JoEllen Zink and husband Robert of Iliff, Jeanne Anderson and husband Bruce of Thornton, and Joyce Schofield and husband Jack of Westminster; father- and mother- in-law, Jim and Charlotte Lewis of Sterling; brothers- and sisters-in- law, Scott and Tracy Lewis and Rick and Linda Dillenburg, all of Sterling; and 17 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard, on Feb. 5, 1991;
and a brother, Wayne, on July 4,1993.
Memorial contributions may be made to a school fund for his daughters in care of the First National Bank of Fleming.
