Leonard Henry Koehler, a 72- year resident of Fleming, died Tuesday in Northglenn.
A rosary for the family is 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Tennant Funeral Home with a rosary for the public at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fleming.Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's. Burial is at St. Peter's Cemetery.
Koehler, 82, was born April 20, 1908, in Hanover, Kan. to John and Josephine (Ruhkamp) Koehler. The family moved to Fleming in 1919 and he had lived there ever since.On Oct. 4, 1939, he married Nettie Schlenz in Sterling.
The Koehlers farmed and raised eight children.
Koehler was very active in St. Peter's Catholic Church and was an honorary member of Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife of Fleming, five sons, Roger of Fleming, Wayne of Brush, Bob of Wray, Danny of Broomfield, Howard of Tucson, Ariz.; three daughters, JoEllen Zink of Iliff, Jeanne Ander son of Broomfield and Joyce Schofield of Westminster; three brothers, Clarence and Tony, both of Sterling, and Joe of Fleming; three sisters, Lucille McMillan and
Eleanor Koehler, both of Longmont, and Pat Nemec of Wheat Ridge; and 18 grandchildren.
Tennant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
