Irene Delila Ridgely, daughter of Dow A. and Pearl C. Ridgely, was born in Richland county east of Parkersburg, October 4, 1912. She died August 25, 1932, age 19y 10m 21d. She spent her entire life in this community. She attended West Salem high school and had to quit half way through her Freshman year because of ill health. She looked forward to the time when she could continue her education along with her twin sister, Ilene.
She leaves her parents, twin sister Ilene, younger sister Bertha, three brothers; Claybourne, Kenneth and Daniel. An infant sister, Carol Marie preceded her in death. Funeral services held at the Church of the Brethren August 27th with Rev. Moore, of Parkersburg in charge. Burial was in the cemetery adjacent to the church.
