He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Alice; daughter, Regina (Thomas) Edwards of Dyer; son, Thomas (Patty) Ridgely of Ft. Collins, CO; two grandchildren, Meredith Edwards and Emily Ridgely; brothers: Kenneth (Mabel) Ridgley and Daniel (Faye) Ridgely of Illinois; sister, Bertha Polzin of Michigan; numerous nieces and nephews. Private family funeral service were held with Pastors Byron Kaiser and Abdulla Basaam officiating. At rest, Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Clay was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hammond; retired employee of Combustion Engineering; member of Schererville Plan Commission for 25 years; former owner/operator of Ridgely Real Estate; former president of Schererville Chamber of Commerce; Veteran of the U.S. Navy, WWII.
