Claybourne I. Ridgely Schererville Claybourne I. Ridgely, 92, of Schererville, Indiana, passed away Monday, December 22, 2003. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Alice; daughter, Regina (Thomas) Edwards of Dyer; son, Thomas (Patty) Ridgely of Ft. Collins, CO; two grandchildren, Meredith Edwards and Emily Ridgely; brothers: Kenneth (Mabel) Ridgley and Daniel (Faye) Ridgely of Illinois; sister, Bertha Polzin of Michigan; numerous nieces and nephews. Private family funeral service were held with Pastors Byron Kaiser and Abdulla Basaam officiating. At rest, Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Clay was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hammond; retired employee of Combustion Engineering; member of Schererville Plan Commission for 25 years; former owner/operator of Ridgely Real Estate; former president of Schererville Chamber of Commerce; Veteran of the U.S. Navy, WWII. Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of the Calumet Area, 600 Superior Ave., Munster, IN 46321. Arrangements by Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home, 7607 W.
