Bette Melvina Mrosko, age 81, passed away Feb. 1. She was born near Edna, in Jackson County, on Feb. 28 1930, and graduated from Killeen High School. Bette married Walter G. Mrosko in 1949 and spent 33 years together with him. The couple moved to Bertram in 1961, where she assisted her husband with managing McFarlin Pharmacy while raising her children as a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bertram.

Bette is survived by her daughter, Sherry Adams and husband Bob; sons Scott Mrosko and wife Shannon and Chris Mrosko and wife Pamela; grandchildren Wendy, Tyler, Kyle, Zane and Paeton; brother Charles W. Browning; and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter G. Mrosko.

A graveside service will be held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 4, at South San Gabriel Cemetery near Bertram. Those wishing to post tributes to the family may do so at www.eickenhorstfuneral.com.
