Browning died Nov. 6, 2004, in Azle.
He was born Sept. 18, 1926, in Edna, the son of the late Sam and Viola Watson Browning.
Browning served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He retired in 1988 from the Union Pacific Railroad.
Survivors include three sons, Randy Browning of Llano, Danny Browning of Blaine, Wash., and Steve Browning of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Shannon Cowan of Azle; two sisters, Jean Cartwright of Moody and Bette Mrosko of Bertram; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
