Tommy Browning served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On return to civilian life, he married and lived in El Paso and became the owner of two flower shops while also working for the railroad. He lived in Texarkana, Texas for 35 years where he retired after 36 years with the railroad. He had resided in Fort Worth since January 1997.

Survivors: Wife, Hazel M Browning; daughters and their husbands, Vivian and Mike Yodin of Dallas, Marilyn and Jim Perkins of Granbury and Tommye Lee and Larry Martinez of Eugene, Ore; one grandson, two granddaughters, 3 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Ben Browning and Charles and Darlene Browning, all of Fort Worth; and sisters, Jean Cartwright of Moody and Betty Mrosko of Bertram; and a host of other relatives and friends.
