Catherine Clugston, was the widow of the late Samuel Clugston. Samuel had been murdered by a burglar in March of 1881. Catherine died in April of 1883, at her home, and was forty-two years of age. She died of nervous shock as a result of her husband's murder, which she never recovered from. She was the mother of eleven children, the youngest being 4 years old at the time of her death.
