Rites For Hackensack Resident Tomorrow
Theodore Sachtleben, a life-long resident of Hudson Street, Hackensack, died yesterday at his home, 126 Hudson Street, at the age of 56, after an illness of one month.
Services will be held at the home tomorrow, at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Dr. Albert Von Schlieder, pastor of First Reformed Church officiating. Interment will be in the exempt fireman’s plot in Hackensack Cemetery.
Mr. Sachtleben, who was in the decorating business, was captain of the Hudson Hose Company up to the time of the inauguration of the paid fire department, and as captain of the part-paid department until last December when that organization was disbanded.
He was a member of the Jr. O. U. A. M., and Court Hackensack No. 47, Foresters of America. He was a former member of Company G, National Guard, and was a trustee of the exempt Fireman’s Association.
He is survived by one son, Theodore Jr.; three brothers, Arthur, Louis, and George, and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Jacobs, all of Hackensack and Mrs. Anna Schoenwetter, of Brooklyn.
