Funeral for Lettie Elvie Shelton, 86, of 310 W. Moulton St. will be Friday at 11 a. m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Nesmith officiating. Burial will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Shelton died Wednesday at Parkway Medical Center Hospital. She is survived by seven sons, Guy Shelton of Trinity, Edward Shelton, Felton Shelton, Thomas Shelton, Ward Shelton and Barney Shelton, all of Decatur; two daughters, Nona Tucker of Moulton and Velma Nesmith of Trinity; two brothers, Leonard Shankle of Decatur and Luther Shankle of Trinity; one sister, Bessie Hill of Trinity; 29 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
