Addie Vesta Kicklighter, 86, passed away Thursday night, Feb. 8, 2001, at the Baptist Village Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was a native of Folkston and a longtime resident of Pierce and Ware Counties. She was the wife of the late Jesse Allen Kicklighter and the daughter of the late Berry H. Aldridge and Mettie Chesser Aldridge. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Luree Dowling, and three brothers, Owen Aldridge, Walter Aldridge and Claude Aldridge. She worked at Baptist Village Nursing Home for several years before retirement. She was a member of Waycross Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, George Mitchell Kicklighter and his wife, Mary Ann of Kingsland, GA and Ray Kicklighter of Lawrenceville, GA; a daughter, Sandra K. Henderson (Andy) of Buford, GA; four sisters, Georgia Whiddon and Evelyn Fowler, both of Waycross, Lucille Harris of Tifton and Jewel Griffin of Brunswick; two brothers, B.H. Aldridge and Edwin Aldridge, both of Waycross; two step sisters, Mildred Roberson of Waycross and Mary Jolly of Statenville, GA; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A funeral service was held Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at 3 p.m. at Waycross Primitive Baptist Church. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001. Arrangements were with the Miles-Odum Funeral Home
