The Ware County native and former Brantley County resident had made his home in Camden County for most of his life. He was a retired carpenter with the Gilman Paper Co. and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Kingsland. His parents were Berry H. and Mattie Chesser Aldridge.
He is survived by his wife, Fannie Crews Aldridge of Kingsland; three sons, Robert E. Aldridge of Marquette,Mich. and Gilbert C. Aldridge and Hubert A. Aldridge, both of St. Mary's; two sisters, Vester Kicklighter and Georgia Whidden, both of Waycross; a brother, Claude Aldridge, Waycross; three half-sisters, Lucy Harris, Clewiston, Fla., Jewel Griffin of Brunswick and Evelyn Fowler of Waycross; two half-brothers, B.H. Aldridge and Edwin Aldridge, both of Waycross; three Grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 4 P.M. Tuesday at the St. Mary's First Baptist Church, Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
