Patrick J Berkley, son of James Henry Berkley and Margaret Edna Odd Berkley. Patrick was the beloved youngest brother of five surviving siblings, William Harlon, James Donald, Nina Edna, Colleen Adilda, and Timothy Ray Berkley. His brother Robert Claybourne Berkley having died as a three year old in 1928.

Having no children he is remembered by being the namesake of many nephews, grand-nephews and great grand-nephews.
Pat was killed in action serving his country in Korea 13 Aug 1950.

Private First Class Berkley was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy near Kosomg, South Korea on August 13, 1950. Private First Class Berkley was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
