Guyton - Uldine Scruggs Lawson, 77, died Friday, September 2, 2005 at St. Joseph.

Mrs. Lawson was a native of Chatham County, but lived in Effingham Co., for many years, she was a homemaker a devoted wife and mother, a member of Guyton United Methodist Church, where she was active in UMW, the Irene Stewart Sunday School Class and the church choir.

Survivors include her husband, Wilson C. "Peck" Lawson, Sr., of Guyton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wilson C. Lawson, Jr. and Vivian, Walter Lawson and Roseann of Guyton; one daughter, Nina Mae Wallace and Randall of Guyton, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be Monday at 4 p.m., from the Ben Wages Chapel of Riggs Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Guyton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Guyton United Methodist Church building fund, P.O. Box 85, Guyton, GA. 31312.
