MRS. WILLIAM SCOTT died Thursday, Oct. 2, 1913 at her home. Housekeeper found her dead in bed. Born Oct. 9, 1853 near LeRoy, Il. Mary Frances Lowe was her maiden name. Married Dec. 28, 1871 to William Scott. They set up housekeeping on what is known as the old home farm and lived there until 1900 when they occupied their new home in LeRoy. Mr. Scott died Jan. 29th.
Had four children: Ida B., wife of S. K. McDowell, Supt. of the Hoopeston Public schools; Cora E., wife of Charles Huddleston of LeRoy; Ora M. Scott of Monarch, and James, who died in infancy. Leaves three grandchildren; Lucile and Scott McDowell and Luverne Scott. Also leaves two brothers. P. J. Lowe of LeRoy and Jasper Lowe of Fisher. Also a sister, Mrs. Charles Walls, of Pana, IL. services held at the residence with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
