FUNERAL RITES FOR JASPER LOWE HELD MONDAY AFTERNOON
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Jasper Lowe at the J. H. Iden and Son funeral chapel. Mr. Lowe died Saturday morning at 10 o'clock following a long illness. He was bedfast a week.
Rev. A. M. Willey officiated at the services. Mrs. Earnest Gee of Colfax sang, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Effie Huddlestone. Burial - Oak Grove.
The pallbearers were grandsons of Mr. Lowe. They were Weldon, Jerry and Paul Lowe of Lincoln, Dale and Flavel Warner of Champaign, and Gleen McCamman of Dwight.
Mr. Lower was born July 19, 1855 in West township. He was the son of James and Sarah Jane Craig Lowe. He spent his entire life in LeRoy except three years he lived in Colorado. Mr. Lowe was a retired farmer and moved to his present home in 1915. He married Mary Ellen Staley Sept. 1, 1880 and she preceded him in death.
Two daughters, Mrs. Fred Warner of Champaign; Miss Retta Lowe of LeRoy; four sons, Bert J. of Peoria, Ariz., Otis E. of Long Beach, Calif., Wilmer S. of Lincoln, Oren J. of LeRoy survive. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Those who attended the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Warner and family, Mr. and Mrs. Flavel Warner, Mrs. Judd Nelson, Warner Nelson, Mr. Koble, Mrs. Kenneth Myrick, all of Champaign; Wilmer Lowe, Weldon Lowe, Jerry Lowe, all of Lincoln; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hannah of Fisher; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lowe and Barbara of Homer; Mr. and Mrs. King of Urbana; Mr. amd Mrs. Kline McDowell, Mrs. Leta Scott, all of Bloomington; Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Gee, Mrs. Ethel Mueller, Mrs. Clyde Miller, Don Bane, Elton Bane, all of Colfax; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn H. McCamman and family of Dwight; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert McCamman and Lee McCamman, all of Clinton.
