IDA WARREN OF LAPLATA DIES HERE
---Ida Myrtle Warren, 87, of LaPlata died at ten o'clock Tuesday night in a Kirksville hospital where she had been a patient since Dec. 14. She had been in failing health the past two months.
---The daughter of William A. and Amy (Moak) McGee, she was born Sept. 19, 1880, in Monroe County, Ia. On Dec. 19, 1908, near Eddyville, Ia., she was married to Marion Ernest Warren who preceded her in death on June 7, 1966. Also preceding her in death were one son, Raymond Merrill Warren on Dec. 5, 1945, one brother and one sister.
---Surviving are three brothers, Arthur McGee and Guy McGee, both of LaPlata, and Ivan McGee of Ottumwa, Ia.; one sister, Zora Howerton of Ottumwa, and several nieces and nephews.
---Mrs. Warren moved to Missouri in 1903 and lived on a farm south of Kirksville for several years. Later she and her husband moved to Kirksville where they operated a grocery store on East McPherson street for many years. Following their retirement they lived in Edina for 14 years before moving to LaPlata in 1963.
---She was a member of the LaPlata Methodist Church where funeral services will be held Friday morning at eleven o'clock. The Rev. Clara Nelson, pastor of the church, will conduct the services, assisted by the Rev. E. E. Hembree, pastor of the Edina Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery in Kirksville.
---The body is at the Christie Funeral Home in LaPlata where it will remain until the funeral hour.
---Bearers will be her nephews.
