Death of Lucien M. Hansen
Lucien Maurice Hansen
passed away at the Egeland hospital in Sturgeon Bay on Thursday, April 13, following an operation for acute appendicitis. Lucien was taken seriously ill about two weeks before and on April 5th he was removed to the hospital, the trip being made to Baileys Harbor on the Wisconsin and from there to Sturgeon Bay by car.

The operation was considered successful but complications set in and in spite of all possible medical aid, he passed away on Thursday last.

Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Hanson and was born on Washington Island March 17, 1914, and was eight years of age. Besides his parents he is survived by four sisters and two brothers.

The body, accompanied by the bereaved parents, arrived here Saturday on the Wisconsin, and the funeral was held on Sunday afternoon from Bethel church, Mr. John Malloch officiating. The church was crowded with sympathizing friends and the entire population of the is land joins in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
