Mrs. Ervin (Muriel) Gunnlaugson retired on Sept. 30 as manager of the Washington Island Station, Bank of Sturgeon Bay, after being employed there for 15 years.
Dick Olson, comptroller of the Bank of Sturgeon Bay, presented her with a beautiful jewelry box from all the employees of the bank. A lovely cake, inscribed "HAPPY RETIREMENT" was given her, along with a beautiful corsage by employees of the local bank. Open House was held Sept. 30. Cake and coffee were served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to everyone.
Bob Carr is now the manager of the local bank.
