James Robert Brown was born Tuesday, April 29, 1873 in Morgan County, Alabama to Lewis Martin Brown and Martha Louise White Brown. ~ He married Polly C. Jackson, a daughter of William Monroe Jackson and Martha Ann Singleton Jackson. ~ The children of James and Polly Brown are Floyd Robert Brown, Harvey C. Brown, Joel Brown, Ora L. Wear, Polly Ethel Brown, Lola Mae Handley and Prentice Oliver Brown. ~ After her death, he married Minnie Vinson. ~ The children of James and Minnie Brown are Ellodora Hallmon, Hoyt Hildreth Brown and infant James Roy Brown .
