Reid Hendershott

A funeral service was conducted in the Groveland Presbyterian Church Tuesday for Reid Hendershott, 57, a native of Groveland, who died in Genesee Memorial Hospital in Batavia, Saturday (July 18, 1964).

The brother of Mrs. Florence Sliker of Dansville, he was born in Groveland, a son of Lester and Isabelle Wilson Hendershott. He had resided in LeRoy for the past 32 years and was a dairy employe there.

He was a member of the Groveland Presbyterian Church and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose 1132.

Also surviving are his wife, the former Ethel Bennett; a son, Larry R. of LeRoy; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Lawrence of Brockport and Mrs. Dorothy Gray of LeRoy; two brothers, Howard of Scottsburg and Earl of Lakeville; seven other sisters, Mrs. Iva Bradley of Wayland, Mrs. Mabel Leadley and Mrs. Katheryn Buchanan of Geneseo, Mrs. Gertrude House of Avon, Mrs. Mildred Dukelow of Mt. Morris, Mrs. Grace linsner and Mrs. Clara Woodcock of Groveland; and four grandchildren.

The Rev. Harold Giffen officiated. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery. (GCE, July 23, 1964, p6)
