Jesse Abell, infant son of Sarah E. Ingle and Thomas Willard Abell.

Grandson of Martha J. Underhill and James M. Ingle; and of James Abell and Sarah Wade.

Great-Grandson of Sarah Saville Sigler and John Underhill; and of Samuel Ingle and Margaret Crowder.

Jesse was the half-brother of Gertrude Rose and unknown Sinclair baby (both children from his mother's previous relationships), full brother of Margaret L. Abell, Alvin Thomas Abell, Lola Pearl Abell, Gladys Lela Abell, Permelia Ella Abell and Herman Charles Abell and half-brother to Sarah Cassinda, Albert, Sampson, Gilbert, Andrew Chester, Ida Katherine, Dora, Charles Grover and Thomas Abell, Jr. from his father's previous marriages.

This baby is buried next to his mother in this cemetery, in a row of Abell and Ingle family members. Jesse would have been the first born child of Thomas Abell and Sarah Ingle, and is the only child of Thomas Abell and Sarah Ingle to be buried in Taylor Cemetery. Sarah's husband Thomas is buried in Mentor cemetery with his first wife.

This is a previously unknown but documented proven baby of Sarah E. Ingle. There is a daughter Margaret (Maggie) who is in the Dubois County school enumeration records with a consistent birth date of September 1896 . Maggie's social security records show a September 1897 birth. There are obvious and serious errors in the birth sequence and the number of the children in this family.

In addition the spelling of the last name on the headstone is not the true spelling of the last name of the father's family, which was Abell.
