Harry Marquis, 87, of 412 N. Maple St., Eaton, died Friday afternoon at the Governor Harris Homestead in Eaton. He was a retired employee of the International Harvester Corporation in Richmond, Ind. A native of Kansas, he was a member of the IOOF in Eaton and a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church. His wife Blanche, died in 1953.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Naomi McMahon of Dayton, Mrs. Ruth Newkirk, Mrs. Mary Sample and Mrs. Betty Jones, all of Eaton; two foster sisters, Mrs. Mable Schroder and Mrs. Nona Kirkman, both of Fountain City, Ind.; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Marquis were Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Barnes Funeral Home in Eaton with the Rev. Lowell Spencer officiating. Burial was in the Abbottsville Cemetery near Arcanum.
