On March 21, 1869, William Hunt and Elizabeth C. "Lizzie" Botts married. They had 11 children -- Joanna, Roy, Sidney, Willie, Taylor, Marion, Nettie, Mayme, Harriett, Amanda and Lillie. Willie and Sidney died in childhood.

Mrs. Elizabeth Botts Hunt, 82 years old, widow of William Hunt, died Friday morning at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Toadvine, on Elmarch Avenue. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Myers Botts, natives of Montgomery County, Kentucky. She lived practically all of her life at the home place near Smitsonville. She had been a member of Beaver Baptist Church for more than 70 years.

Mrs. Hunt is survived by: six daughters, Mrs. E. J. Whitaker, of Boyd, Mrs. E. G. Muntz, of this county, Mrs. John Rorer, of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. R. L. Doane, of Kuna, Idaho, Mrs. R. M. Doane, of Morrow, Ohio, and Mrs. Clark Toadvine, of Cynthiana; and three sons, Taylor Hunt, Roy Hunt and Marion Hunt.

Funeral services were held at Beaver Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. George Smith officiating, assisted by Rev. T. H. Kingston and Rev. Marvin Adams. Burial was in Beaver Baptist Cemetery, Pallbearers were her grandsons, Clarence Doane, Walter Doane, T. Robin Toadvine, Shirley Toadvine, Alvin Rorer and Frank Rorer.
