Mary Ann Petska was born May 5, 1893 in Valley County to Frank and Anna Cerny Adamek. She married Stanley Petska at Ord on Nov 16 1921, She lived in Valley county all her life and the last 11 years in Ord. She was a member of ZCBJ Lodge Dennis #14 and a member of the Catholic Altar Society.
Survivors are her husband , three daughters, MaryAnn Larsen Auburn NE, Betty Kusek of Boring Or and Lorene Meese of Ord; four sons, Richard of Hershey Ne., Lavern of Idaha Falls Id., Stanley of Wahoo Ne., Paul of Cozad NE.; three brothers, Frank and Anton Adamek of Ord, and Will Adamek of Ericson Ne. and one sister Anna Jones of Great Falls Mont., and 26 grandchildren.
Funeral servises were held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Ord Saturday. Rosery was recited at the Hastings-Pearson Chapel Friday. Fr. Stanley Gorak officiated.
Burial was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Ed Kasper, Paul Adamek, Bob Adamek, Don Petska, Eamanuel Petska and Harley Eschilman.
Honerary pallbearers were Leon KLanecky, Lyle Sevenker, Jim Adamek, Bill Adamek, George Kasper, Frankie Adamek, Eugene Petska and Ronnie Petska.

Mary was a very good cook. Made her special Kolaches! She also liked to go fishing!
