Mr. Clow was born at Centralia, IL, the son of Henry Albert Clow and Daisy Edith Bateman Clow.
He had lived in Olney for the past several years and was a retired employee of the Olney Branch of the International Shoe Company. He was a member of the Main Street Southern Baptist Church. He was also a member of Centralia Lodge No. 201 A.F. & A.M.
Mr. Clow was married to Pauline Stivers on March 26, 1926 and she preceded him in death Jan. 24, 1969.
He leaves thirteen children: James Clow of Indianapolis, Ind., Paul E. Clow of Raymond, Wash., Betty Jo Cox of San Jose, Calif., Shirley A. Darby of Aurora, Edith L. Gibson of Charleston, Joseph F. Clow of Lawrenceville, Kenneth Clow of Decatur, Patricia Kufleitner of Salem, Ohio, William L. Clow, Henry Clow, Richard E. Clow, David Clow and Linda Sue Clow, all of Olney. There are 29 grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother and three sisters: Dan Clow and Mrs. Edith Monroe, both of Granite City, Mrs. Naomi Moore and Mrs. Alice Conover both of St. Louis, Mo. Other survivors are the following half-brothers and half-sisters: Gene Helm of Denver, Colo., Earnest Helm, Mrs. Esther Fay Lenhart and Mrs. Wanda Jean Orlando, all of St. Louis, Mo.
A daughter, Wilma Josephine Clow and a brother, Edward Clow have preceded him in death.
His father-in-law is Louis Stivers of Olney.
Funeral services for Mr. Clow will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers--Marshall Funeral Home with the Rev. Delbert Penrod officiating. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
