Guy R. Throckmorton, aged 54, well known Franklin Township farmer, died at his home, Waynesburg, R. D. 4, Sunday night, Jan. 9, 1944, at 10:25 o'clock. Death was due to a heart ailment and followed an illness of four days.

A lifelong resident of Franklin Township, Mr. Throckmorton was born Sept. 10, 1889, a son of the late James and Carrie Iams Throckmorton. After cmpleting his elementary education in the schools of Franklin Township he attended Waynesburg College. He was a member of the Throckmorton Methodist Church. Mr. Throckmorton was married 19 years ago to Mabel Sprowls, who survives with one daughter, Geraldine, at home. He also leaves three brothers: H. S. Throckmorton, of Beaver Falls; R. I. Throckmorton, of Manhattan, Kan., and J. T. Throckmorton, of Sycamore.
