He was born January 10, 1883, at Waynesburg, a son of James and Carrie Iams Throckmorton. His wife, Anna B. Harvey Throckmorton, survives.
Mr. Throckmorton had resided in the Upper Beaver Valley for the past 64 years. He had been a farmer in the Chippewa Township area retiring in 1955. He was a member of the Chippewa Township School Board from 1924 to 1948.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Anna B. Throckmorton, are three daughters: Mrs. Ernest (Sarah) Tullis, Salem, Ohio; Miss Margaret Throckmorton, Bloomfield, N. J.; and Mrs. Donald (Mary) McKee, Darlington; one son, James H. Throckmorton, New Brighton; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Throckmorton, Sycamore; and Ray Throckmorton, Manhattan, Kan.
One daughter, Marjorie Treasure Childs, died in 1970.
