Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Fahres, 82, who died suddenly Saturday after being stricken with a heart attack at her home, 1411-A N. 12th St., will be held Tuesday. Rev. Harold C. Petronis, curate, will be the celebrant of the requiem high mass Sat. 9 a.m. at Holy Name Church, following brief rites at 8:30 a.m. at Robert H. Kroos Funeral Home. Committal rites will be conducted on the family lot in Calvary Cemetery. A resident of of Sheboygan her entire life, Mrs. Fahres was born Sept. 17, 1873, a daughter of Charles and Magdalene Trester. She attended Holy Name School. Her marriage to William Fahres of Sheboygan was solemnized in Holy Name Church on May 16, 1899, by the late Rt. Rev. Msgr. Dominic Thill. Mr. Fahres died in 1946. She was an active member of Holy Name parish and the St. Ann's Christian Mothers' and Altar Society. Survivors are four sons, City Treasurer Carl J. Fahres, Henry W. , and Marcellus P., all of Sheboygan, and Anthony W., Pomona Cal.; two daughters Sister Irma(Alexia) of the order of St. Francis at St. Nicholas Hospital, and Mrs. Alois (Rose) Mondloch, Sheboygan. She is survived by 16 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Biscobing, Milwaukee, Mrs. Henry Christoffel, Two Rivers, and Mrs. Caroline Weber, Fort Wayne, Ind., and a brother, Anton Trester, Milwaukee. A son, Theodore, who died in 1923, also preceded her in death.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home until the hour of services. Members of St. Ann's Christian Mothers' and Altar Society of Holy Name parish will pray the rosary for Mrs. Fahres at the funeral home at 7:30 o'clock this evening.
