Carl Trester, Sr., aged 85, a pioneering resident of this city, passed away this morning of heart trouble and old age, after an illness which had held him to his bed for the past month. Mr. Trester was born February 19, 1835; in Coblenz, Germany and had lived in this city for more than sixty years. His wife preceded him in death in June 1915 and two sons have also passed away. The survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Mary Darr, Milwaukee; Mrs. Pauline Biscobing and Mrs. Anna Fahres, this city; Mrs. Henry Christoffel, Two Rivers and Mrs. Frank Weber, Fort Wayne, Indiana; and three sons, Carl Trester, Jr. and Henry Trester,this city and Anton Trester, of Milwaukee. He also leaves several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one brother, Fred Trester, residing in Milwaukee. He was a charter member of the St. Boniface Society, and the Holy Name Church. The funeral will be held from the residence of the daughter, Mrs. Pauline Biscobing, 1084 Huron avenue with whom the deceased made his home and at 9 o'clock from Holy Name Catholic church. Rev. D. F. Thill will officiate and interment will be made in the North Side Catholic cemetery. R. H. Kroos has the funeral arrangements in charge.
