NICK WILLIAMS TAKE BY DEATH: Cedar River Native Dies Here On Wednesday.
Phillip (Nick) Williams 65, of Cedar River, died at 11 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph hospital of peritonitis which followed an emergency appendectomy.
Mr. Williams was born at Cedar River June 22, 1885 and had lived there all his life. He married Pearl Williams July 12, 1912.
Survivors are his wife and ten children; Wesley, Harold, Myron, Floyd, Edward, Ruth, Dorothy, Blanche, Lyla Mae and Phyllis, his mother, Mrs. Schuyler Williams all of
Cedar River and the following brothers and sisters: Charles, Joseph, John and Louis of Cedar River; Mrs. T.J. Kane of Chicago, Mrs. Joseph Ruleau of Cedar River, Mrs. H.
Lanthray ( Loughary) and Miss Elizabeth Williams who live in Washington state, Mrs. Timothy Dugan and Mrs. Sam Baxter of this city, and Mrs. Andrew Schwartz of Escanaba.
Funeral Services are planned for Saturday at 2 p.m. in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ruleau. Burial will be in the Cedar River Cemetery. The body will be taken to the
Ruleau home Friday at 1 p.m. from the Larson Mortuary here.
WILLIAMS: Funeral Services for Phillip (Nick) Williams of Cedar River who died last week, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ruleau at Cedar River. Rev. Fred Matthews of this city read the rites in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends.
Mrs. Matthews sang "Abide with Me" and " Somewhere the Sun is Shining".
Miss Loretta Dugan, Miss Loretta Ruleau, Miss Frances Williams and Miss Mabel Baxter were in charge of flowers. The casket was carried by Earl and Thomas Ruleau, Francis and Timothy Dugan, Sam Baxter and Clarence Schwartz.
Burial was made in Cedar River cemetery. Mrs. T. J. Kane and Mrs. H. Rathburn of Chicago, Mrs. George Ruleau of Manistique and Mr. and Mrs. George Ruleau of Wells, attended the funeral.
